BBC2 is showing an hour long programme about Geert Wilders. No prizes for guessing in which manner they present his views. Just to say they have a Muslim cleric almost at the end of the programme who apparently can't understand how Geert's 'hatred' is allowed to be spread. Naturally nobody at the BBC makes that clear for him. This cleric even uses the 'never again' mantra of the Jews after the Holocaust, although he attributes it to 'Europeans'.
At the very end they show a clip of a public demonstration by the 'Unite Against Fascism' organisation with one of its members wishing Geert Wilders and the members of the English Defence League a 'hasty demise'. I don't think they got the irony of a supposed anti-Fascist wishing harm to others for using their freedom of speech.
You can watch the programme here for the next 7 days Geert Wilders: Europe's Most Dangerous Man? and some blurb on the programme by the BBC.
In direct contrast, just as this programme ended, Channel 4 is running a programme about the hate teaching and violence going on in some of the Muslim faith schools.
What's really refreshing, is besides airing the secret filming from within some of these radical institutes is a Muslim teacher who really understands how negative this kind of 'teaching' is, and why those who support English Defence League are a direct and correct response to the 'hate' thrown at them. It's really great to see a Muslim on TV and see purity, morality, and real intelligence in their eyes and words.
Also great to have truth aired for a change.
Here's the blurb from their website and a link to a video clip of the programme. It will be possible in the future to watch the whole programme online. but at present its subjects are undergoing a police investigation.

SYNOPSIS
He was once refused entry to Britain. He has called for the Qur'an to be banned and has proposed a tax on wearing headscarves. And he is also the first politician ever to stand trial on charges of 'incitement to hatred'. Geert Wilders, instantly recognisable for his quiff of platinum blond hair, is one of Holland's most controversial and well-known politicians and, some argue, Europe's most dangerous man.
Bafta-winning filmmakers Mags Gavan and Joost van der Valk follow Wilders on his campaign trail during the recent Dutch elections, meet members of the international anti-Islamic network who support him, and find out about a conspiracy theory promoting the belief that Europe is being taken over by Islam.
With anti-Islamic, anti-immigration parties on the rise all over the European continent, why has Wilders, on the brink of real power in the Netherlands, become the poster boy for the far right?
