Was it really only yesterday since the BBc annoyed me seems so. Today we went to visit my mother in law she had the tv on with the abysmal "Doctors" I wasn't really watching but they were running some multi cultural sub plot. However when we got home I flicked the tv on just in time for the ever annoying (spot the white man) Newsround. So Carl what did they do to annoy you today? The story was about downloading however look carefully as they run the VT. Did anyone spot it? Yes some of the digital files were named "Malcolm X -spoken word". Yes dead, racist ex national of islam black supremist. I did note that by the 6 o'clock news this had been cut. Is there really a massive demand out their for illegal malcolm x mp3 speech downloads because why else would it be on the VT.

Sorry mate - I really couldn't understand what you were referring to. Do you have any links, and what does VT mean? Also, what was it in reference to? I suggest whenever you see something on-line that you think might be edited away, is to capture a screen-shot of it. A program I use that is brilliant at doing this and works very simply, and better still - is free, is Awesome Screenshot. You can take a picture of the whole page or just a segment of it. It also allows you to crop just the section you want. Then you can save the resulting picture and put it on any of the free image hosting websites. From there you can post it on any website. I've been meaning to start a new off-topic category that will include tips for posting, and also allow new members to introduce themselves. I'll get on it over the next week.

Sorry, VT for video tape. I was refering to the video section the BBc likes to splice in to illustrate the story. The article was about the proposed changes to copyright laws. To "illustrate this a short video was shown with representations of music downloads in this case like a screenshot of your I player contents/ cd rip . This was the literal l illustration of music being copied (CD to MP3) which as we know is technically ilegal, I assume we are still supposed to wipe recorded television after 3 days still as well. However on the video as well as showing representative "screen shots" of music being ripped. Up on screen popped "Malcolm X- spoken word". en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malcolm_X. So the point I was making (badly in the first post) What are the chances of someone transfering Malcolm X speeches to their MP3 player?

Gotcha So this is the clip I believe you're referring to Which can be found at 4min 32secs into the Newsround programme which is still available to watch again hereYou did well to pick this up from the programme as it only shows for a second or two. Still, shows the kind of stuff the BBC are in to, and what they want the kids to follow.

Yep that's the one. As we are running a lash up PC untill we can collect our new machine which will be running Linux so that'll be a learning curve, and untill our lap top is repaired I am restricted as to what I can do. For example this machine refuses to render pdf files and is too slow to run I-player so I can't get any screen shots or check on video. I notice they all have 4 stars wonder who's maschine they pulled the screen shots off?
