Today this morning - the presenters could scarcely contain their glee at making the economists' letter to the Financial Times arguing that government borrowing and spending should be their lead story. However, last Sunday, when the letter articulating the opposing viewpoint was published, it barely got a mention (i.e. just brief coverage in the new summary) on The World This Weekend and The World Tonight.
This morning's coverage repeatedly stressed that 67 economists wrote the pro-Labour letter and only 20 the pro-Tory one, while neglecting to mention that many of the prominent signatories to the former (most notably Blanchflower) have a track record of making inaccurate predictions.

Welcome Beller - I must admit while I'm well aware of the BBC bias in relation to pro-Labour, I'm loathe to listen to the waffle, except where unavoidable - like on Question Time. So if you carry on posting your observations of this nature it would be most appreciated, and if you are willing to post regularly I'd be happy to set up a specific category for this topic.
