It used to be that the Editors Blog of the BBC website would link to any current stories concerning the BBC by other media outlets on an almost daily basis along with the current blog for that day. In this way, even months later, one could see the relevant news articles published for that date around the country. Since normally only the Guardian and Independant would run the desired BBC spin, the others would highlight the negative stuff that the BBC would prefer the public reading their blog not to be aware of. So how did the BBC deal with this adverse news? Simple, make the link to stories about itself just a sideline on the webpage, and only run those current stories for that time. No archive to tell how porly they are doing, or how biased or corrupt they've been publicly shown up to be of late.
