The BBC faced a dilemma on this one. On one hand they faced as you say losing 41 Labour seats and a sizeable chunk of the Dhimmi tax and on the other they risked losing their fellow travelers who support those who call for the eradication of Israel and the genocide of the Jewish people.

Welcome MK I moved your post here as I felt it more fitting in this category.
Your thread is very interesting, and one I can easily believe and accept being familiar with its usual pro-Labour stance. Your speculation about the reasons for their bias makes perfect sense to me too. May I ask if you have a particular interest in this topic, or is it just something you noticed yourself?
I would assume that the findings of this study would make the media at some stage, although historically the BBC usually manage to squirm out of paying the real price for their sins.

Hi Teddy Thanks for welcoming me. Well, I'm a student of politics so it's natural that I followed the Scottish referendum closely. On the pro-independence side, They said that the BBC was biased against independence. Most of the time this was simply stated as fact, presumably well known among such people, without backing evidence. That's why I'm interested in this new book which will evidence this instance of BBC bias. This example of BBC bias is also, potentially, the most important in it's history. The end result of the vote was 45-55. That means if just 5% of voters had gone from No to Yes, Scotland would now be preparing for independence. Noone can know for sure but it's possible that if the BBC had slanted it's coverage to be pro-independence, it might have changed the result, also considering the fact that the BBC is the most watched, heard or read news source in the country.

The reason this site exists is precisely because of the power the BBC has to sway opinion and action, as you've noted in this instance.
Every category we list on the site is where we see constantly the BBC has its own agenda in defiance of its Charter. Instead of truth we get spin, and that shows just how poor their thinking is. An intelligent person does not need to bend truth to give their view substance, but looks clearly and wholly at it.
