My English is not good. It does happen I am a Portuguese living in Portugal. I do not have a single English speaking friend.
I start listening to BBC around 1998.
At that time I bought a short wave receiver and I did listen to BBC world service.
I realize BBC bias during Kosovo war.
I almost became a pro Serbian in reaction to the BBC biased coverage.
During the refugee crisis in the first weeks of the war , in a one hour bulletin , BBC first did cover the refugee crisis live from the border with Macedonia.
Next they cover the refugee crisis in the border of Albania.
Next they would cover events in NATO headquarters.
And only after all these anti Serbian point of views they would bombard a Serbian minister with questions .
Usually the phone line to Serbia did not work properly therefore it would get even more difficult to hear the Serbian account of events.
After the start of the intifada in Palestine (September 2000) I remember one day BBC journalist was interviewing a Palestinian asking what was the damage the Israelis had done to Palestinian homes in a Palestinian village .
The very same day 5 Israeli civilians had been gunned down by Palestinian gunmen .
BBC did not interview one single Israeli victim.
Palestinian buildings were more important than Israeli victims.
From that moment on I realize BBC meant BIAS and not fair reporting .
From BBC nothing does surprise me anymore.
During Lebanon war July, august 2006 , BBC did use in their website a picture that most likely was staged.
I stop watching BBC.
