Just looking at what Yahoo has included to lead their Middle-East headline web-page today, and what the BBC prefers to run with. There are some noticeable absences, and one can only question why Here's what the current BBC Mid-East headline page looks like and Yahoo There are 3 lead stories that the BBC makes no mention of. Israel eyes impound of ships breaking Gaza blockadeReuters – Wed Sep 8, 5:58 am ET JERUSALEM/LONDON (Reuters) - Anticipating fresh bids by pro-Palestinian activists to sail against its Gaza Strip blockade, and hoping to avoid a repeat of its bloody boarding of a Turkish aid ship in May, Israel has turned to maritime law. Palestinians arrest Hamas suspects in settler attacksAFP – Wed Sep 8, 3:33 am ET RAMALLAH (Palestinian Territories) (AFP) - The Palestinian Authority has arrested several Hamas members on suspicion of organising and executing two attacks on Israeli settlers, a senior official said. Gaza mortar narrowly misses Israel kindergarten: armyAFP – Wed Sep 8, 2:54 am ET JERUSALEM (AFP) - Palestinian militants fired a mortar round from the Gaza Strip on Wednesday narrowly missing a kindergarten in a kibbutz in southern Israel, the military said, as Jews prepared to mark their New Year. It would appear the BBC don't want any stories that make Hamas look bad, or Israel look good.

It really comes as no big surprise this bbc bias, going back to Churchill who described the beeb as the enemy within.Does anyone really believe Mark Thompson that they are about to change direction! They cant, there are too many skeletons in the closet, and please dont mention the HOLOCAUST to them, they did their very best to alert the world to Hitlers murder of the Jews.Colin

Colinmore, I agree with your comment about BBC bias. I do not understand however the last comment you made "the BBC did their very best to alert the world to Hitlers murder of the Jews" ?

Welcome Colin I've seen no evidence that there is any change of direction, nor likely to be. Thompson claimed he was aware of massive left-wing bias 30 years ago, and they have tried to hire those of the other side of the spectrum. Well judging by where the BBC advertises for jobs, I can't see where they have even attempted anything on that score. From a few days ago: " Yesterday The Telegraph had a letter that gave information about how much money the BBC spent on job advertisements for the different newspapers: In The Guardian, the BBC spent a massive £231,944; in The Telegraph, £32,535; in The Times only £6,159. yet The Telegraph has by far the largest circulation of the three quality dailies, with The Times some way behind and The Guardian a poor third."

Hi Benshi,I was being very tongue in cheek, regarding the Nazies murder of the Jews in Europe. The Beeb and the foriegn office knew exactly what was going on but decided to keep it from us.Exactly like they try to cover up their anti Israel bias now. Colin
