The leftist press has gushed over every Socialist "revolution" there has ever been, so this comes as no surprise. news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6910472.stmThe actions of Chavez in creating a single political party are obviously to cement his totalitarian power in the country - this after everything else he has done to physically coerce his opposition into silence. If Bush was making such an attempt to achieve right wing political domination in America, doubtless Ingham would be throwing around words like "fascist", comparing him to Hitler and emphasizing the dangers of totalitarianism, as proven by well over 120 million murders in the last 100 years. And yet this is how the article deals with the negative side of Socialist tyranny: Hooray! Power to the people. How romantic. Then it's the unquestioning repeat of words like "battalions" and "volunteers", just to remind you that socialism is a noble and exciting act of human brotherhood. And the statement he leaves us with: Gush, fawn, gush, fawn, gush, fawn, a la Stalin, Mao, Castro, blah blah blibbety.

I see what you mean.
Besides any other motive, Chavez also called Bush 'the devil' last year. He also went to see Rajeh Omarr's friend - Saddam, against US wishes. Perhaps a case of 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend', which is very poor thinking except in dire straights, but down the road there'll be a price to pay for this 'assistance'.
The 'sickening' aspect of monitoring the BBC, besides seeing how their distortions and lack of ethics negatively affect human expansion, is being aware of how stupid these beings really are. They sacrifice real self-esteem for what really? That they see anything else as superior to that shows the sick or brainwashed mind we're dealing with.
