Definitely not, Lord Pearson (the actual leader of UKIP) wrote to BBC and asked why they had no representation in the leaders debate citing their political charter and criteria, both of which UKIP met. The exchange of letters was taken down from the UKIP website.
Anti-EU sentiment? How balanced, how many programs or descriptions of the EU from the BBC actually tell it for what it is: "Soviet style bureaucratic dictatorship." And I defy the BBC to actually prove otherwise.

There are those who believe that this is generally how presenters on Hard Talk address their subjects. In fact, it's only 'like this' on Hard Talk when they are interviewing people with whose views go against the BBC desired agenda. Otherwise 'the counter arguments' presented are designed to give the interviewee the opportunity to show the strength in their view, or at the very least - a deferential free ride. It's a total sham by an unashamedly biased BBC
