This guy Miles Cooper, who sent a number of letter bombs that caused injuries, is nothing short of a terrorist - and yet I feel the BBC has used this story to give him an unchallenged platform for his grievances. news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/7016053.stmNo counter or alternative viewpoint is offered, little hint at the seriousness of his crimes or their terrorist nature, in fact reading this article I got the slight impression that the BBC not only doesn't see this guy as a terrorist but also sympathizes with him. Can you imagine them giving an uninhibited platform to a letter bomber who was protesting immigration to Britain, or something "non-PC"? Maybe I'm just overreacting. But something about this article makes me feel that whomever wrote it is sympathetic with his views. Why allow this man a soapbox, as they seem to in the last few paragraphs? Regardless of the rightness or wrongness of his opinions - he's a terrorist!

You're quite right AL, and they also run today a similar article on exactly the same theme here. Must be that his views are held by so many at the Beeb. In my opinion, if he was really "concerned about the direction my country was heading in". , he would have targetted the BBC first, but since he appears to be a mouthpiece for them I can understand why he misguidedly didn't.

LOL quite right. He needs to identify the REAL enemies of Britain.
Can you imagine that article, in other circumstances, ending unchallenged with "If you give a small group of people [Muslims] too much hospitality, they will eventually end up abusing it.
We are becoming one of the most Islamized societies on the planet"
Of course not. The BBC would never have allowed it.

This guy is so clearly a crackpot, and the fact that his views match those of the BBC speaks volumes about them too.
