Hi Van - good to see you - been a while. The author of this particular piece - one TV editor, is clearly not up to any kind of more informed opinion. He or She is just 'reporting' what comes in, as evidenced by this passage But the all-women audience goes against Question Time's usual process of selecting an audience to ensure a wide cross-section of British society.
As anybody knows, the BBC audience selection process ensures the majority viewpoint will be the one that best represents the view that the BBC want to promulgate. One only has to look at the panel selection any given week to realise that.
For a more informed opinion of this event here's Iain Dale

I wonder what would happen if a male applied and was rejected, could this man then make an official complaint of sexism through various bodies? Any volunteers?
