Another bit of BBC propoganda from the Ministry of Bullshit, as they have the nerve to declare the following about the BBC World Service:

"It boosts Britain by refusing to boost Britain." And that's spot on. We do not boost, we do not label, we do not "belong" and we certainly do not take sides. We pursue "neutrality" with a vengeance. So much so that it's the only thing we're not neutral about - I'm never sure whether our audiences agree though."

How sickening is this? It's like listening to a serial killer preaching about how much work he does for charity.

I posted a comment which I can pretty much guarantee won't be posted, even though I made some attempt at being polite when I would much rather have posted the comments above:

Which proves conclusively that the BBC never listen to a word of complaint against them, because if Liliane Landor bothered to listen to one complaint in a hundred she'd find that there were plenty of people who disagree.

We're totally aware that the BBC "doesn't boost Britain" as she admits. Instead it demonizes and demoralizes it. How anyone can possibly think that we should be proud of a service with the word "British" int the title who's sole aim seems to promote any cause or aim that is ant-British, should apply for a journalist post at the BBC immediately.

I know its just typical smokescreen. They do live in a bubble at least with respect to many of us. Neutrality is a notion, either their own believed self-delusion or most likely ridiculous elitist 'answer' they're convinced is still good enough. Its a pretense for objectivity long in the tooth. Excuse, equate and/or justify every non-western tradition and value in accordance with their own, and of course our enemy.

One quality they do seem to possess over most leftist media in the US is the blatant paternalism. Here it seems to be either take it or leave it, or some usually lame explanation concerning the particulars involved in the situation. The attempts to profess some professional detachment are always there just not so much 'we know better than you'. I don't think they feel the 'trust them' approach is so easy to get away with nowadays.

Yes, I wonder how many licence fee payers applaud the fact that the BBC has changed Britain from a Bulldog spirit to a Lapdog spirit, and any 'Bull' left over is in their reportage. The BBC are 'loyal' to every despotic regime if it boosts their coverage and they'll sacrifice everything and anything held dear by the society that pays their way to do so.

On a continuing theme, here's an article on 'Impartiality' I came across a few days ago from the editor of the BBC College of Journalism.

They seem to believe that if they are pompous enough, and throw in a few intelligent sounding phrases, it will prove to most that they embody the quality they are preaching about. Perhaps it works, which makes it an indictment of the stupidity of those that lap it up. The real acid test would be to take various examples where the BBC has been accused of a lack of impartiality and find articles OF THE PERIOD that did provide some balance.

• So where does the BBC support the deposition of Saddam?
  
• Where does the BBC denigrate and show the farce that is the UN?
  
• Where does the BBC support Bush?
  
• Where is the BBC anti EU?
  
• Where does the BBC uphold the right of Israel to exist without fear of attack, either from its neighbours or terrorists within its greater borders?
  
• Where does the BBC highlight the insidious tactic used by Islamic militants to hide behind women and children to launch their attacks and cry 'unfair' when retalliation ensues?
  
• Where does the BBC show how so many scientists and meteorologists feel its complete bunkum to insinuate the theory of global warming as due solely to human activity?
  

But rather than practice what they preach, they feel it's enough to show that they know words like 'impartiality' and 'objectivity' exist, and this will suffice to satisfy their consumers and wage payers.

Lets not forget its the British public that allows this farcical situation to exist. Can a lemming blame other lemmings for also launching him/herself over the cliff?
