I am listening to the Newsnight discussion concerning the Laurence murder verdict and have just heard Diane Abbott calling my step-son a racist! Grudgingly she acknowledged that progress had been made, but she still felt the 'canteen culture' of racism had not disappeared from 'the lower ranks'.
I desperately want my step-son to leave this country and go live in almost any other country in the world where the services of a former Met copper are respected and extremely welcome. The idea being that his parents could then be sponsored by him to come over too and we can all escape from the UK to Canada, Australia, New Zealand or the US.
The people of London do not deserve the services of the police force that serves them. Every day they put their lives on the line to defend a city that from the BBC down appears to despise them.
It was said in the discussion that a black person is 5 times more likely to be stopped and searched than a white person. This they call racism when the collators who advise the police on which groups in London are committing the most crimes so that they can use their incredibly stretched resources most efficiently have consistently advised them that London's young blacks are far more likely to be involved in crime than anyone else!
Personally I hope that officers will become more militant and will refuse to offer their services in the areas of London that see them as racists. Perhaps, thanks to the BBC and others they have become the problem and not the solution. I would also like to see them withdrawing from VIP, diplomatic, politician protection duties in order to concentrate on protecting the ordinary civilians. And for certain the BBC in London should be advised to look after their own security as the Met will no longer provide policing services for the BBC and all it's London staff.
Within a short time half of London would be in the hands of criminals. But at least the likes of Diane Abbott will no longer be able to come on the BBC and accuse my step-son of being a racist. You can't be a racist if you no longer have contact with anyone who has been conditioned by the BBC and their own communities into believing that the police are racists.
A couple of years ago I complained to the BBC about the playing of a song called 'The Sound of Da Police' on radio 1. It contains a line about guns that more or less incites the listener to get a 'bigger gun' than the police to shoot them with. I received no reply.
I am so proud of our lad who was having bricks and petrol bombs thrown at him by what the BBC called 'protesters' last year. He, to his credit, still believes in what he does, and we were proud when he received a citation for bravery.
To me though, it's pearls before swine. The people who undermine the effectiveness and authority of the police with glib racist generalisations so richly deserve to experience the consequences of their stupidity. Particularly the Abbott entity!
There was a story a couple of years ago that so many of the Leicester police force had left the country that they were being offered ten grand to come back from Australia so they can be accused of being racists again! Good luck with that!
