An excellent article by Rev Peter Mullen in The Telegraph. It's good to see somebody from the clergy make reference to the daily grind of bias emitted by the BBC, and he's covered quite a few areas of their agenda.

The BBC - biased and tawdry
It was nice to see Boris sounding off about the BBC – the Biased Broadcasting Corporation. “…Statist, corporatist , defeatist, anti-business, Europhile and above all overwhelmingly biased to the Left,” he called it. It is all of those things and more besides.
A few weeks ago there was one item on Radio Four which typified the unspoken prejudices of the Beeb. Lord Healey was reminiscing about his delightful conversations with Iris Murdoch at Oxford in the 1930s when they were both members of the Communist Party. “We had such a jolly time as we all sat around talking about Uncle Joe.” (If you use your imagination, you can hear the juicy lugubriousness of Denis’s tones).
Uncle Joe was, of course, Stalin who slaughtered at least 40 million of his own countrymen and, out of his paranoia, purged almost everybody he considered a rival. I wondered at the time what the reaction of the metropolitan-chic cultural Marxists who run the Corporation would have been if a different couple of people had reminisced about how they too had sat around in the 1930s, when they were all Fascists and “talked about Uncle Adolf.” Of course it would never have come within light years of the air waves.
The BBC’s mindset is utterly predictable.
Apart from Boris’s description of them, they are, regarding the USA, against everything that great nation does to defend freedom, but hysterically in thrall, like teenage groupies at a rock concert, to the slurry end of American popular culture.
They believe that Palestinians are always a decent people cruelly dispossessed by Israel – which they regard as a pariah state.
Care is always taken not to offend Muslims or Islam in general. (One can’t help thinking there is an element of self-protection, not to say cowardice, in this). Christianity on the other hand is relentlessly criticised and satirised. They allowed thousands of blasphemous slights on God, Jesus and the Blessed Virgin in Jerry Springer: The Musical alone. And the ensuing 14000 complaints all went unheeded.
Then there are the awful “entertainers” and “television personalities” (that oxymoron) earning footballers’ wages for talking filth on TV. And the pig philosophy side in the culture wars, generously represented by a blast of rock music every half hour on Radio Four.
The scandal is that we have to pay, on pain of penalty, for this bias and muck in the tax called the licence fee. Might as well call it the licentiousness fee.
