The BBC's Charter and its Producers Guidelines state: ...'Due impartiality lies at the heart of the BBC. All programs and services should be open minded, fair and show a respect for truth? [BBC reports should] contain comprehensive, authoritative and impartial coverage of news and current affairs in the United Kingdom and throughout the world?? How does the BBC measure up to its charter?

~~Party political broadcast~~ Sorry was it called news?

In The World at One on Sunday 30th September 2012 there were several mentions of what had been said at the Labour Party Conference . That I expected.

What I did not expect was that for several minutes we were given a party political broadcast by Mrs. Balls (née Cooper) on behalf of the Labour Party (of whom the BBC appears to be a wholly owned subsidiary). The sooner this utter subservience to the Unions and Socialism is stopped the better. If that means abolishing the BBC tax (aka licence fee) so be it. It is a pity that we don't have a Levinson on immoral influences on the BBC, which used to be unbiased until the unions and Blair took it over.

If it's any consolation your post shows that you're one of the few in our society that are able to identify this bias, and therefore can think for yourself. You're absolutely right that the BBC should be broken up for not only failing to fulfil its charter, but mostly pursuing an agenda that is completely negative to our society.
My feeling is that it will get a lot worse till something is done though.

Keep spreading the news though

BBC = Blatantly Biased Corruption AND Big Brother Coverage AND Brainwashing British Citizens AND Breast-Beating Conmen AND Bloated Baleful Calumny AND Brutish Bullying Cowards

At present, the BBC is only answerable to itself in deciding its standards and coverage. How does it measure up to what you consider good quality, and impartial and unbiased reporting as required by its charter? All TV viewers in the UK are forced by law to pay for this 'service'. Do you believe that what is received truly 'serves' the society, - or merely increases the problems within it? Your perceptions of BBC output are important and welcome.
