It is becoming more noticeable that the comedy on the BBC Radio 4 is very left wing.
Last night's News Quiz was the latest example I have heard. When one member of the panel said of the mid term review "it just showed that the Tories hate the disabled and the poor" there was no complaint and several members agreed.
Mixing fact with fiction is fine, and exaggeration is an element of humour well exemplified by Sandi Toksvig's script writers who add a little impossibility to the end of many of her summaries of an item. Sadly starting with total lies (usually exaggerations of Labour's half truths) and embroidering them into Marxist fantasies is not humour.

Never heard the programme, or am I likely to, but I can concur with your observations. So long as the BBC is more interested in propaganda supporting their agendas than genuine humour it is unlikely to change. There's no doubt too that they are aware of their failings in this area since they have to use comedy programmes from generations ago to attract listeners.
It's more sinister than satire.
