There are times when the BBC mentality is so ridiculous, one has to laugh. Nice to know they're really on the ball finding new avenues to justify their license fee. The BBC ran this piece on their website requesting feedback. Can email make us less productive? Are you spending too much time emailing people at work?
Anti-poverty campaigner Sir Bob Geldof has told a conference in London that emails "get in the way" of actually doing your job, and that they mistakenly give people "a feeling of action".
He also warned of the dangers of sending ill-considered emails, saying they can cause serious commercial harm.
Do you agree with Bob Geldof? Do you email colleagues rather than talk to them? Does email improve our working lives? Send us your views and experiences. So how do people send them their views and experiences? Yup, by e-mail No surprise that they get this as one of their responses: Added: Friday, 18 November, 2005, 08:57 GMT 08:57 UK Oh i so do waste time at work emailing...in fact , i'm doing it now. bob, manchester ;D
