Happy New Year THR
For the BBC this is simply a tool to make themselves appear like they're caring and concerned for whoever they can present as the 'underdog'. In opposition to the 'establishment' gives them the feeling that this shows their independence - regardless of merit. We see the same tack used by them on every agenda they perpetrate. No morals, no scruples, no integrity.

Thanks Teddy and a happy New Year to you. I've been BBC free for the last month but I get the impression since I've got back that the bias is getting worse. This is a good thing. The more people who are made aware of the bias the sooner the politicians will need to act.

Yeah but will they? Even reading yesterday that Cameron was 'fuming' at the BBC for their bias on cuts, so why doesn't he do something about it? It's not that they don't know, just seem to lack backbone.

I totally agree. Just heard today that at this scumbags vigil, the police have warned that there will be disruptive behaviour at this event from his sympathisers. This sort of thing would not be tolerated in America Give em a dose of the water cannon, or even better rubber bullets !

'Vigil' makes it sound dignified and noble. The knuckledraggers who will turn up for this 'vigil' will not have a clue who Duggan was or care whether he is alive or dead.

I wonder how many people who are completely innocent bystanders are shot by the police in the USA, let alone criminals who have just collected guns?
Here the police shoot so many people that every one is in the newspapers for dys, or weeks, on end.

The BBC believe that by drawing attention to supposed failures of other public services, people won't be focussing on theirs, as well as their far more sinister corrupt mindset.

Too late Teddy, the cat's out of the bag. Al Beeb themselves must have been surprised at the rejection of their attempts to portray Duggan as a martyr and the police as assassins. Even the left wing press are generally unsympathetic with Duggan and the reptillian scum he had as a family.
