Here we are 15 years plus into the 21st century and he's telling, who I'm not sure, he's finally getting it? I read it as one long post about *me*. Poor, poor me. Well let him go to the very back of the line and with a hefty dose of humility stay quiet for once in his life and learn, even if in fact that means unlearn an awful lot. He sees the light?

The left survives because they simply cannot visualize the real impact of their policies, and when confronted by those results simply find excuses, usually blaming others for it. But given what has been happening recently throughout Europe as a result of the 'welcoming refugees' policy, many are beginning to 'see the light'.

Here's a brief discussion I got into...
Steevo1964 It's just one long post about Nick, poor Nick. A struggling older man finally coming to his senses? Well so what. Let him take a seat now at the end of the line and with a hefty dose of humility, stay quiet for once and learn. 4 hours ago Reply Like (2) Link To Comment • Report Abuse
Akron2 When a literate, articulate writer who knows all the arguments backwards comes around at last -- no matter what it takes for that to happen -- he should be greeted with as much grace as conservatives can muster. We haven't so many allies that we can afford to turn belated converts away. Orwell was a model of civility and generosity in this respect, in a political climate at least as toxic as today's, and we'll do well to follow his example. 17 minutes ago Reply Like (0) Link To Comment • Report Abuse
Steevo1964 He understands some of the arguments backwards and appears lacking in others. Regardless, if you think after so very many years that a man who did and does understand the arguments backwards deserves sympathetic understanding I think you're foolish. This man needs to understand now's the time to take a back seat in self-reflection. Not only has he 'misunderstood' but he's been moral/ethically wrong.
Europe is not a moment of revelation in my opinion, just one more point in reality exposing the darkness of the Left. There have been plenty, obviously blatant, sick evil points for many many years. But you're like the guy in the disagreement with me and there are many like you with all due respect. It's really not a point to argue, we just disagree. I hope Cohen comes around even though I have my doubts, I really do hope he does.

I'm reminded of the scene in Bridge on the River Kwai, when the British Colonel (Alec Guinness) finally comes to his senses after alerting the Japanese to the attempt to destroy the bridge by his own side.
I can understand both your views and hopes regarding Cohen. I only hope that Cohen might understand his own psychology in having followed the course he did until now and use that self knowledge to help convert others who follow a similar path.
