Just heard on the 7 O'Clock News that 2 more phone-in scams have been revealed. One where a BBC employee 'won', and the second where they used a fictitious name for the winner, and the programme had actually been recorded while the phone-in was being conducted. Tomorrows papers will probably run more details on it and I'll post something as it comes in. This is the 'trust' that the BBC wants to regain from the public, and shows clearly the type of criminal mentality that pervades the BBC. Fraud is permitted so long as you think you can get away with it. It's also insidious that the government deems it to be a crime if the public don't pay for this organisation to continue. In mafia terms - it's a legalised protection racket, and even the way the advertisements are worded to scare people to pay their license fee or face conviction, are the type of threat that protection racketeers use. Moral people have a moral duty not to pay it. For those wishing to know their rights in this regard I suggest this site which gives a lot of great information to empower you.
