An excellent 3 page article by Rod Liddle in The Spectator, that in this instance actually gives credit to the BBC over its stand with The British Muslim Council about the upcoming Panorama documentary, after it accused the BBC of pro-Israel bias. (It would be hilarious if it wasn't for real). The protocols of the elders of the BBCIt does however make quite clear as to which end of the spectrum the BBC can normally be found.

It's a rare event when I can actually commend the BBC for anything, but so far, what I have seen on the Panorama programme justifies it. They are actually reporting from the perspective of our society, about a present danger inside it, instead of its usual appeasement to this menace. I can understand why Sacranie has done his best to undermine it, since its his, and others of his ilks', failure to answer the questions put to them that really shows them up - as well as making clear their real agenda, which shows the truth that they object to. They are so used to getting an 'easy ride' that this programme must really have shaken them up. Well done to John Ware the interviewer and presenter, and also to hear the voice of some integrated and intelligent Muslims who really agree that there is need for change, and that there are serious problems within their faith.
I just wish that the BBC would continue with this real journalism that used to be its trademark, but it would take a lot for me to overcome my cynicism that it really will - but here's hoping.
