Never ending "analysis" on the BBC and others over the racism on Big Brother. Can anyone see the hypocrasy of the beeb going on and on about the "over 40 000 complaints" received over the bullying as if this gives force to the arguement. Now if it were about Jerry Springer; The Opera.....

Big Brother is an example of what has become the substitute for spontaneity and creativity. Since the media bosses have 'lost their way' in generating true creativity, except for very few mavericks who make it through, so reality TV is their answer.
The media will also be the first to condemn the government for our crass, yobbish, binge drinking, increasingly more criminal society, and I'm not saying they also don't have a hand in it, yet the media doesn't see any relation to their output as carrying the major responsiblity for this.
Propelling an ignorant slob into 'celebrity' status. A clear message to other ignorant slobs not to worry about studying harder, just get on reality TV. Be more shocking = become a celebrity. It's sad that our society needs a Jade to feel they are more intelligent, shows the depth we've already sunk.
As far as the media of today is concerned, even negative attention is better than none, and they have no care or scruples about what the effect on our society is.
