Doubtful or Optimistic?
With BBC reporting feeding into the militant strategy of the Palestinians, if that has anything to do with it, I'm pessimistic about any chance for peace.
President Bush Middle East Mission Tony Blair Has Doubts By Sky News Friday, January 11 01:22 pm
Tony Blair has said he is no more than "cautiously optimistic" that a peace agreement can be reached between Israel and the Palestinians.
In his first television interview since becoming special middle east envoy, the former prime minister told Sky News: "You've got to be careful of saying this is the last chance for it.
"But it's hard for me to see how you're going to get a peace agreement done if the present initiative fails because if it fails things will move backwards again.
"If we lose the momentum that's been built up after the Annapolis conference and then the Paris conference where we got big international support for the Palestinians, if all of that is then squandered and drains away then I think you will find a very difficult situation indeed, so there is no alternative but to push forward and to do so with determination."
Mr Blair's comments coincide with President Bush's last day of his trip to the Middle East to try to inject fresh momentum into the peace process.

Middle East Quartet envoy and former UK PM Tony Blair says he believes it is possible for a peace deal to be reached between the Israelis and Palestinians.
But he sounded a note of caution about how early it might be achieved with a warning that much remained to be done.
