I have to smile at how there will be many irate WImbledon fans who unable to watch it live on TV because of other commitments today will be recording it to watch later this evening. I can imagine them not even listening to the radio on the way home in case the result is reported before they have a chance to watch the thing for themselves and salvage the suspense.

So what's the problem?

Scheduled to be shown on BBC2, it has been switched suddenly to BBC1. Those recording what was supposed to be the final will instead be watching Songs of Praise.

That will have them questioning the licence fee next time their renewal comes due.
