Two stories in the news from the USA today about problem passengers on flights. One concerns an American, apparently somewhat drunk, who accidentally triggered an alarm when fiddling with the outside door during a flight. The other a Yemeni man arrested on a San Francisco-bound plane repeatedly shouted "Allah Akbar" as he tried to break into the cockpit.Assuming you haven't already the topic title, would you guess which one the BBC reports on? Naturally they thought a story about Passengers told local media that Mr Hersey, who was wearing a shirt supporting the Boston Bruins hockey team, was foul-mouthed, intoxicated and unhappy the flight was late. was far more interesting to its readers than the Yemeni man.By strange coincidence, the name of this Yemeni man, Rageh Ahmed Mohammed Al-Murisi is very close to 2 men who were arrested in September last year in Amsterdam suspected of being terrorists - Ahmed Mohamed Nasser al-Soofi and Hezam al-Murisi. As it turns out they were released without charge, which is probably why the BBC decided it was safe to run that story, just to show how wrong we are about suspecting Muslims of terrorism. Don't know how common these names are in Yemen, but something for airport security to keep their eyes on
