Today I've been listening to R4 on and off and most recently to Newsnight, which I had to stop listening to, so blatant was their continuing jilted programme of trying to brainwash everyone who lives in this country into believing that none of us were to blame for all the crap that has descended upon us except for the Rich.
They don't want us to accept the truth that it was the fault of the Anglo-Saxon economic model of producing growth through easy credit, property speculation, and deliberately lax regulation of the financial services industry that was so enthusiastically taken up by the Blair, Brown regime and, in the US, the Bush administration, as well as millions of us who include, I am ashamed to say, myself who heard the, 'No more boom and bust' speech and dived right in up to our necks, unforgivably forgetting that when something sounds too good to be true it probably, no certainly is, that are actually to blame!.
Classic social conditioning tactics by the BBCIMS (BBC Information Management Service);
First of all your targets need to be persuaded that they have done nothing wrong, and in fact everyone on the planet, except the ones they have decided in their arrogant sanctimoneous cockiness, so brilliantly portayed in it's early evolution by the series 'The Hour', are VICTIMS not accomplices.
Second, you deliver to the masses you have so subtly made righteously indignant, a target for their anger, none other than the Rich.
In my realist world there are the deserving rich and the undeserving rich. BBCIMS are too radical and extremist to even offer such a distinction to their target, potential Labour (TUC owned party) voters in the next election. No, the BBC message, by, for example today headlining a Left wing think tank's (peer reviewed or or not- as usual the anti-science BBC never says which) finding that putative intra-company wage differentials between the earnings apex and the base are detrimental to our economy, is that everything can be blamed on the Rich, whoever they are or however they became 'rich' in the first place!
That this moronic distortion of reality is being unashamedly followed by every outlet of the BBC I am witness to, even 'comedy' shows like 'Mock the Week' included, is a disgrace, and an insult to whatever remains of 'human intelligence'.
Why, I ask myself, especially when so many of them are indeed rich by most normal people's estimation, are they so determined to make us all feel so indignant that investment bankers who supply the means by which everyone, billions of us around the world, with a pension, a mortgage, a loan, or an insurance policy, or those dependent on benefits paid by a government that relies on borrowing from these same people, that they trouser the same money as Premier League footballers, or the cast of The Only Way is Essex? At face value you would have to say it is totally, foetally naive and a disgrace to everything the BBC is meant to stand for.
Truly, I think it's just because they can!
Unless, that is, their mission is to bring down the entire economy of the UK and turn us into a uber-nationialised Socialist one party state precided over by Labour and the TUC. While we will all be poorer in every meaning of the word, the Rich would be long gone, doing what they do, making the people of the countries they pitch up in richer, which, as a seasoned realist, and not an idealist, I and the people in Dubai and Geneva know always happens, because it happened before in an earlier internicine political oscillation within my lifetime!
With Christmas coming, and I'm sorry I have gone on so long, suffice to say the BBC want to turn us into turkeys voting for Christmas.
I have a good friend who tours with a band that plays to audiences of thousands. He once said to me that when he raised his hand and punched the air, 20,000 people did it right back at him. Night after night he began to feel almost godlike in the control he had over his audience. Thankfully my friend is a nice guy and all he does by way of mass manipulation was to ensure everyone has a good time.
How I wish I could say the same of you know who!
