www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/theeditors/Take a look at Fran Unsworth staring down at you like a school mistress at the top of the editors comments pages. Isn't she just the embodiment of liberal arrogance that dominates the BBC. In her article she gives the New York Times a good telling off for being so naughty as to suggest Alan Johnstone was a little bit partisan when it came to Palestine and that the BBC thought they were untouchable because of the propoganda work they have done for them. I just don't get these people. Has she not figured it out - it's called Tit-for-Tat. This was probably the best chance the NYT have had in a long time to take a swipe at the BBCs rabid anti-americanism, and she reacts in the typical pompous BBC management way. How dare they criticize US! But boy, just look at that face. How many cowering, media studies uni grads, desperate to impress BBC heads with their multi-cultural, pro-palestinian urges have had their waters turned to ice from one disdainful look from such a hard faced cow in editorial meetings. So what precautions did the BBC take before sending Alan Johnstone back home to the Gaza Strip? They probably listened to their own news reports and actually believed them. Frans picture just says "Talk to the hand coz the face 'aint listening." Or whatever the BBC corporate varient would be: "Talk to my P.A Jeremy, because my department is extremely busy."

While you're at it. Look at Peter Barons face as the next one down. It looks like it's just been slapped. Of course that wouldn't have been the aim. The aim of the photo would have been: "I care. I listen. Caring and listening in a thoughtful intelligent way." Whatever these people try they can't help but come off looking like anything other than condescending christian missionaries staring at natives and thinking "well soon have you worshipping the BBC god." Alistair Burnetts picture looks like he's just been caught shoplifting. His intent would have been: "I am Alistair Burnett. Direct and trustworthy." I have no idea what Mark Barlex was attempting with his picture but at least his looks honest. "I am a smug twat. Hit me."

Yeah, I made comments on the Unsworth article, and the logical and very credible observations of the NY Times, which we had previously noted ourselves, on this post. One of the downsides of running this site is having to trawl through the pompous, arrogant self-serving tripe of the Editors Blog, as you've noted above, to see what they feel a need to retort about. I always feel like I need a shower after.

Please keep the logical and credible NY Times' observations of the BBC in a logical and credible totality of perspective. They are just as anti-American when that's understood to mean anti- (anything to the right of the far Left, in America.) They are traitors and deserved to be jailed for life. And they talk about partisan reporting in the Middle East?...Most of what they say can be interchanged with that of the BBC. Otherwise... have a nice day

Yeah Steevo, I'm aware that the NY Times operates similar to our Guardian here. While the credit really goes to Stephens for his article, since on this occasion the NY Times carried it, what can we say?

I've also just noticed that Fran Unsworth's article on that page is the only one with the Opinions switched off. Now why is that? We dare not criticize the Beebs nearest and dearest Alan Johnstone?
Personally, I always publish my 'have Your Say Comments' here as well as on their site, because I know this is the only place where they will remain.

Yeah, I noticed that too. In this case they would be blocking attempts to justify the NY Times article making rational and accurate observations about the 'impunity' of biased BBC journalists in Gaza. Scurilous is as scurilous does!
