Last night's programme hosted by Polly Evans with a panel. I thought nothing could make me more disgruntled than watching Question Time, but after seeing last night's broadcast from Kent I was wrong !
Another example of how the audience was hand-picked. Mark Reckless was hounded from every angle. Nearly as bad as Nick Griffin's appearance on QT a few years back.
Not one person was on the side of UKIP it would appear. I was totally disgusted. I think all the Green Party voters were there last night as well.
In case you hadn't noticed, I am a UKIP fan and will be voting for them in the General Election.
My dearest wish is to see the smirks and smiles wiped off every UKIP sceptic and other main political parties.
Aunty Beeb, you have shown your true colours yet again

Rod Liddle comments on the debate he watched yesterday on the BBC. Worth mentioning that he used to work for the Labour party himself, as well as being an editor for the BBC Today programme, so the fact of the biased Labour audience he witnessed should come as no surprise to him.

Have made a post on the same thing on the General Board here. I do agree with your comments on poor Mark Reckless. Mind you as I said on my post, he was hounded from every direction and charisma is not one of his strong points ! I loathed the Green bloke - creep ! Can you tell me, what is the meaning of a white poppy ? I would like to think it was better for the environment to manufacture a white one, but it probably has some other stupid meaning. Remember the Tory pensioner in the front row who had a real go at Mark ? What a smug (and overweight) tit ! Something else that got my goat was the chuckling of youths at the back who thought something was funny - well what do they know ? They still have the marks of the cradle on their fat backsides

I thought your other post on the subject best belonged here Dance. I never watched this debate but it appears you and Rod Liddle are in agreement.

... Can you tell me, what is the meaning of a white poppy ? ... The White Poppy was first introduced by the Women's Co-operative Guild in 1933 and was intended as a lasting symbol for peace and an end to all wars. Worn on Armistice Day, now Remembrance Sunday, the White Poppy was produced by the Co-operative Wholesale Society because the Royal British Legion had refused to be associated with its manufacture. While the White Poppy was never intended to offend the memory of those who died in the Great War, many veterans felt that its significance undermined their contribution and the lasting meaning of the red poppy. Such was the seriousness of this issue that some women lost their jobs in the 1930s for wearing white poppies. The White Poppy Appeal is now run by the Peace Pledge Union. I have always associated it with pacifism and consciencious objectors.

I have always associated it with pacifism and consciencious objectors. Any sane person would want to live without war and violence. But there are times when there is no other option to protect ones society and values. Unfortunately, especially among the left wing mindset, the appeasement of evil in the hope it will just 'go away' leads ultimately to a lot more lives being lost.
